— Profile

As an independent developer and design engineer, I see projects through every technical phase – from concept to realisation.

His technical work draws on many years of expertise in mechanical, vehicle and ship engineering and on developing functional, self-sufficient travel and living concepts.

The focus is on camper modules, yacht and vehicle components, and technical services – pragmatic, durable and without unnecessary complexity.

01

Services

Tailored solutions give flexibility for camper and yacht projects alike – from a single module to an integrated system solution, cleanly engineered.

Camper — Sprinter model on engineering drawings

Camper

In a camper conversion the vehicle base determines every decision: permissible gross weight, axle loads and centre of gravity set the limits within which the interior fit-out, furniture and technical systems are planned. Modular concepts range from a single component, through a turnkey full conversion, to components for DIY projects.

For travel- and expedition-capable vehicles the range covers 12/24 V on-board electrical systems with charging from the alternator and solar, roof racks and carrier systems for additional payload, and an engineering design that stands up to dust, vibration and temperature swings in continuous use. The result is a vehicle that stays self-sufficient even away from infrastructure.

Yacht — catamaran model on engineering drawings

Yachts

In the yacht sector the marine environment shapes every sizing decision: constant exposure to salt water and moisture, high mechanical loads from wind and waves, and the influence of weight and centre of gravity on trim and handling. Material choice and the engineering design of mechanically loaded components follow these conditions closely – sized for corrosion resistance and lasting load capacity.

Services include conversion work and refits on existing yachts – from concept through interior design to execution. On the technical side the priority is maximum self-sufficiency on the water: high-capacity energy storage, water treatment and efficiently sized systems that allow longer passages independent of the shore.

  • Services cover planning, design and engineering design for interior and exterior. The emphasis is on functional, technically well thought-out solutions that combine design requirements with the demands of the particular application.

  • Professional support with the concept and detailed planning of extensive conversion work. The aim is to develop pragmatic solutions that meet the specific requirements precisely.

  • Services cover precise calculations and the development of mechanically load-bearing components for campers and yachts. The aim is robust parts, reliably sized for continuous use.

  • Comprehensive services for the sizing and optimisation of various systems for campers and yachts. The focus is on efficient, reliably sized solutions that meet the specific requirements.

  • Quality and durability are central to how he works and shape every phase of a project. His aim is to meet expectations reliably and deliver high-quality results that last. The standards he applies follow a responsible, professional approach.

About

outarc was founded in 2020 by Philipp Andreas. It builds on a background in mechanical and ship engineering and a passion for precise engineering design and hands-on execution.

After completing a Master of Science in mechanical engineering with a specialisation in naval architecture in 2015, he worked extensively on the engineering design and development of ships. That includes several years at Lürssen, among other things as a design engineer in megayacht construction, and a period at a marine engineering consultancy. Since 2019 he has worked at TKMS as a systems and development engineer.

Alongside his professional work, he has specialised more deeply in additive manufacturing, with a focus on functional and structurally integrated parts. His qualification as Industriefachkraft für Additive Fertigung (German IHK qualification in additive manufacturing) was obtained through an IHK-certified course at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials.

A central personal motivation is being out in unspoilt nature and travelling self-sufficiently, without unnecessary compromises. An eye for detail, a certain degree of perfectionism and an interest in durable, innovative solutions shape the work at outarc.
